Our Story

I’m Mair Milteer, owner of Aim High Organizing. This business was birthed from my passion for helping others create orderly and peaceful home environments. I am enthusiastic about sharing my organizing skills and expertise with clients who long for a clutter-free, presentable living space.

My first recollection of organizing was around 8 years of age. I realized that my clothes fit in the dresser MUCH better and were easier to find when they were arranged neatly. Fast forwarding to about 15 years of age, I always felt empathy for one of my grandmothers who was severely afflicted with osteoarthritis. Every step she took was painful, and it seemed logical to me to move her refrigerator from the hallway near her small kitchen into the kitchen. It wasn’t easy to swap and relocate large items, but my family obliged to my vision and contributed their muscles. The result was that my sweet grandmother’s life improved since she had less painful steps to take each day! This experience made me realize that I had an eye and a gift for finding more streamlined and efficient ways of living.

Experience

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Kent State University and a Master’s Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. This educational combination provided the perfect foundation for working with people while establishing order and structure. I also served nine years in the US Air Force and met my husband while on active duty. Our many military assignments were opportunities to sharpen my organizing skills as we downsized before each move and had to re-establish our home and daily routines once settled. During these 18 years with the military, I embraced change and reached out often to people who struggled with moving frequently. I felt that I had the potential to help them on a larger scale, but the opportunity had not yet presented itself.

My organizing skills were further honed as a stay-at-home mom of two kids — one who has Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Living with this illness demands every organizing resource in my toolbox. I’m extremely grateful that my child with CF understands the logic of efficient routines I established and is able to do a great deal of medical self-care in minimal time.

In early 2016 I felt it was time to formally begin my journey of helping others clear clutter and restore order in their homes and lives. I am an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and have taken numerous educational classes from the best professionals in the industry. I network often with other organizers and have access to resources and products geared toward clients’ varied needs. I am fully insured and adhere to NAPO’s code of ethics and confidentiality. Whether you are considering downsizing, purging, rearranging, increasing productivity, or all of the above, I look forward to working with you!
